For over five decades, the Kentucky Council of Churches has served churches in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as the instrument of its members to nurture the unity of the body of Christ and to anticipate that unity, however partially, through common witness and service. Since 1947, Kentucky Christians have heeded not only the calling of their hearts, but the prayer of Jesus "that they all may be one.

The George Moore Camp Burnamwood Scholarship is a fund created in memory of George Moore, Commissioned Lay Pastor at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church for nearly 16 years. Burnamwood was an integral and special part of George’s life. His wish was that young people could experience the spiritual blessings of the people and natural surroundings of Burnamwood. The congregation of Mt. Horeb feels it is a blessing and duty to fulfill George’s goal.

A Mission Statement for the Presbytery of Transylvania

God calls Transylvania Presbytery to support and encourage the mission of God in the particular context of the congregations and communities in which we have been called to serve as the body of Christ. Recognizing that we are a body of diverse members connected by our common bond in Jesus Christ, we strive to work together to...WITNESS to the love of the triune God by what we say and do; NURTURE all who are called to follow Christ, and SERVE all people impartially, recognizing that all we have and all we are belongs to God.
